Hi, my 2019 PC has an Intel I9 10920X processor with an Asus motherboard and X299 chipset.
I wanted to know what is the new series of CPUs and chipsets that replaced mine.
Thank You

Five generations of processors have launched since your processor, and the same for the chipsets.
You should look at the Asus site for their motherboards, and processors/chipsets used.
You may be able to update the processor on your motherboard, but not the chipset.

Many thanks. But what is the current processor that is halfway between Xeon and I9 desktop?
I9 10920 was the X core of the HEDT family halfway between xeon and I9 desktop.
Thank You

Not sure I understand what you are looking for.
Is it your intention to keep the motherboard and upgrade the processor?
If so, what is the model number of the motherboard?

I am interested to changing all, motherboard and CPU to the current product (year 2025) that replaces the HEDT platform of the year 2017 based with Core X I9 10920 CPU and X299 chipset.
I'm trying to figure out if today's (2025) enthusiast platform is Xenon W3 or W2425 or Core Ultra 9 285K.
In 2017, the X299 chipset and the I9 10920x CPU were positioned between the I7 and Xeon.
Today, is there a platform that is halfway between desktop and server?
Thank You.

Here is a page of current intel processors. Pick the one that best suits whatever you want:

As for a motherboard, I suggest you browse a site, like Tom's Hardware for something that suits your needs.
