Hello. I'm Daniel.B
I want to ask something important. I hope you can help me, I want to know if the Intel Xeon E5 2690 and the Intel Xeon E5 2690 V2 are Welded to the IHS, I have read a lot of information but I can find a Concrete Answer,
In most of the information they say that in each new architecture, there are Processors that are soldered and some are not, in the LGA 2011. We have the Sandy Bridge-EP & The Ivy Bridge-EP Architecture that was made for intel Xeons V1 & V2 , And I want to know if there is someone who has tried to uncover an Intel Xeon E5 2690 or someone to know if it has TIM (Poor Quality Thermal Paste) or is welded to the IHS. I hope you can help me.

Both of these processors are Socket LGA2011. Neither are "BGA" socketed according to ARK, which means neither are soldered to a board. As far as the Internal heat spreader (IHS), all processors have this to allow distribution between the CPU and your cooler.

As far as deliding a processor, it is a great way to immediately void your warranty.
