We plan to make use of the First-Level Translation Support (FLTS) feature that Intel mentions in the VT-d specification [1]. However, it is unclear which CPU generations precisely support that functionality. We have tested with Cascade Lake and Ice Lake-SP processors, however, neither exposes the required bits in the IOMMU's "Extended Capability Register". Contrary to that, a blog post [2] seems to indicate that Intel has already introduced this feature in their processors. Can Intel clarify on which processor generations specifically support FLTS? Is this feature going to be introduced with Sapphire Rapids? If there are currently available CPUs supporting FLTS, which are these and does the feature require specific firmware support? Thank you.
