IPDT - Brandstring Fail

After turning off Stop on Fail in config all other tests passed. I am confused because one of the test results in the history file, viz. CPU1 spbc test shows the following result:

Processor Manufacturer: GenuineIntel

Processor Band String: Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU  Q9650 @ 3.00GHz

If this test correctly identifies Brand String why does it fail the initial Brandstring test?

Your processor is End of Interactive Support and this model is 11 years old. Make sure you are running the latest BIOS, chipset and management engine on your computer.

The tool is designed for use with the Core processor family. As you've seen, there are issues when running it on the older Core 2 processors. You've handled this correctly; disable Stop On Error and let it run.

Thanks Scott. I went further and disabled the Brandstring.exe test. That way you get a PASS result at the end of testing :-)
