Hi there,
I recently got a Windows 10 update appear - "Intel - System - 10/27/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.1030"
I did some googling and found a way to stop the update from happening via the Windows 10 hide update tool.
Or so I thought - it turns out that Windows 10 installed this update in the background - leaving me no choice but to have it installed.
I tried to uninstall it, but it doesn't appear in the list where I can uninstall it.
Anyway - after the update was automatically installed, it installed Intel Turbo Boost and began to run this in the background.
I noticed a temp spike after this so I clicked to disable it, in the program. I then clicked back to 'enable' it - and suddenly my system went into a BSOD and displayed the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
After the restart I left Turboboost enabled and my system has been fine for the last week. However, when I was in the middle of working on a file - My system froze and I got this same issue IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I checked event logger and found this -
"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0xffffc785cb0cb0c0, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000001, 0xfffff803b40a4fa9). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 3fd11b10-aa78-4871-b851-6e3045c1967d."
I didn't have any issues before this Windows 10 update but I am not sure if the issue is related to Turbo Boost - as this app also got installed by the Windows update.
I am running a
ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i7-6800K CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)Is this Windows 10 update (Intel - System - 10/27/2016 12:00:00 AM - 1.0.0.1030) an issue and does anyone know how to uninstall it?
Or does anyone know of a fix for this BSOD - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Thanks for your time and help

Hello bryce_w,
According to your description, the issue seems to be pointing to the Windows® 10 update. I just want to know; is this the Turbo Boost app you are referring to; https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26103/Intel-Turbo-Boost-Max-Technology-3-0 Download Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0?
To uninstall the update, try using the System Restore option. Find it here; https://www.howtogeek.com/206271/how-to-roll-back-or-uninstall-a-problematic-windows-update/ How to Roll Back or Uninstall a Problematic Windows Update, last option.
I believe this update is the November Update, have you tried with the Creators Update?

/thread/113491 bryce_w, my apologies because in order to use this option you must have created a restore point. But you can try the "Start up Repair" or the "Refresh this PC"option, use this steps; https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/windows-10-recovery-options
One more thing I would like to mention is that Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 app can only be downloaded from the site I mentioned before, the Windows update does not include this app within the update.
Regards,
Amy.

You can clearly see from my screenshot that no restore point was created on my computer when this update was installed.
Also, the windows update downloaded and installed the Turboboost app, because it wasn't on my computer before.
Are you suggesting I have to reset my entire computer?

The app should not have been installed within the update, the app has to be manually downloaded from; https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26103/Intel-Turbo-Boost-Max-Technology-3-0 Download Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.
Did you try the "Start up Repair"? If it does not work the "Refresh this PC" is just a suggestion.

Amy.
