Initialization sequence i386 EX

Hi everyone,

I am now working trying to repair a device that contains the embedded microprocessor i386 EX.

I am kind of a rookie with this processor and I would like to know if there is a way to check if it is doing the correct steps in order to be initialized into normal operation, or if it is doing something "wrong" and jumping into a different mode.

I do not have any information about the hypothetical programming work that could have been done in the processor so I can not give much more details about that, and I do not know if that is a key factor in my problem but I have not found any manual that talks about it.

I also know that it is a very old processor and that is why I am trying to explore all my possible options to find a solution.

I want to thank you all beforehand!

This goes back 30 years.   I doubt intel will provide anything useful.

And, I doubt this will help:

Good luck with your project.
