Intel 7700K reaching high temps/usage

Hi,

I just recently purchased this CPU along with other components to install into my computer and i have come upon an issue. My CPU usage spikes randomly and during gametime, it rises to 60+%, the temp also rises along with it. I have read some articles online about uninstalling and installing Intel Graphics Drivers. i have tried to follow along with these as best as i can but i get stuck when installing the driver. When i run the exe. file, it says "does not reach minimum requirements", to which then i tried to install it manually but in the articles it says to update the already present intel graphics driver or microsoft basic dsiplay adapter, my problem to this is that none of those are shown in the display adaptors tab, only my GPU. I have read of people fixing this issue and it would be greatly appreciated if someone could guide me through this situation .

Specs:

Intel i7 7700K

MSI Z270 Carbon gaming pro

2x8gb Corsair vegence 3200MHz red led

Corsair TX850m

ASUS Strix ROG 1060 6gb

NZXT x52 Kraken

Kensington 156gb SSD

W.D 2TB HDD

Seagate 2TB HDD

Yours sincerely

Hello SheikhDaddy

We received your inquiry and I understand that you are getting high temperatures with your processor. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing. We will be more than happy looking for a solution.

I will like to share with you that the usage of the CPU in-game time is expected to get high; in addition looking into the specifications of the processor the temperature is able to go up to 100°Cyou can verify that on the following link:

https://ark.intel.com/products/97129/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_50-GHz https://ark.intel.com/products/97129/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_50-GHz

On the matter of the graphics driver update, since you are telling us that you are no able to see Intel® graphics driver or Microsoft* basic display adapter, it is expected that once the discreet card is up a running the motherboard will disable them.

Let me if you have further questions

Regards,

Hi Leonardo,

I can see how that is understandable, however when performing simple tasks or even just letting the computer run idle, the usage spikes and occasionally hits 100%. This problem never happened with my old CPU which was an Intel i7 4790. About the graphics driver, is there a way to enable the driver? I will post a link to the article i was reading about fixing this issue, the second user who commented "abbeand", seems to have the same motherboard as me and had the same issue as he couldn't see the Intel Graphics Driver or the Microsoft basic display adaptor. He says he somehow managed to get it to work but the process was not detailed.

Yours sincerely

Hello SheikhDaddy

Thank you for the information.

In order for you to enable our graphics controller we can try to remove the discrete card in that way I will expect that the Intel® graphics will be enabled on the device manager, or enabling hybrid graphics on the BIOS, for that we recommend to contact the manufacturer to verify it is possible to set that up.

Once you are able to enable the Intel® graphics controller you can download the drivers on the following link

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27412/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=97129 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27412/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=97129

And follow this link to update the drivers

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html

In addition, we can verify that on the GPU software configuration form ASUS* the applications are been handled by the discrete card; you may have to contact ASUS* for information on this matter

Please let me know the outcome.
