Intel Core Ultra 7 155 H (notebook) Undervolt unavailable

Hello,

I was wondering if there are plans to implement the undervolt functionality for the Core Ultra 7 155H processor (notebook). Given that previous and subsequent generations of Intel processors offer this feature, it would be great to know if it will be made available for the Core Ultra 7 155H in the future.

Thank you!

Hello Buppuyo,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:

  1. What is the complete brand and model of your system?
  2. Can you tell us more details why would you like this feature?
  3. Are you having issues with your system?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

I'm not sure why the original poster (OP) asked the question, but I have a use case.

On my LG Gram Pro: System Model 16Z90SP-A.ADB8U1

It has an Intel Core Ultra 7-155H and an Nvidia RTX 3050.

When gaming and the CPU is cool, the RTX 3050 runs at about 35W and 65°C.

As the CPU heats up and reaches about 90-100°C, I notice the system starts pulling power from the GPU, which then runs at 15-18W.

This significantly decreases the gaming performance of an already relatively weak mobile GPU.

Goal: Undervolt the CPU to better manage temperature and system-wide thermal throttling.
