Is my Processor faulty, in CPUz it says I only have one core but in the bios it says 4. Performance is slower than it has been. It's only a few months old.

Thanks

Please run the Intel® Processor Identification Utility to properly recognize your processor.

You can download the Intel® Processor Identification Utility at:

http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/ http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/

Also install the latest BIOS version for your motherboard.

You know I did another search yesterday and finally found a post that I looked at and it was my problem, in msconfig it was set to 1 processor, so I unchecked the box and rebooted and the 4 cores are back.
