Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor diagnostics tool prime number fail

I have a Intel Core i7-4710HQ in an older ASUS laptop, everytime I tried to run the diagnostics tool I get an error for the Math_PrimeNum fail, I've tried a reinstall of the software and restart of the PC. I have a feeling that the processor is just so old but I'm hoping to find a fix for now if possible.

GLyma, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support. I looked into the documentation for the Intel® Processor Diagnostics tool, and it says that Math_PrimeNum.exe checks how fast the CPU can search for prime number, please verify page 34: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/processors/intelprocessordiagnostictoolhelp.pdf Just to confirm, besides this error, is there any problem with the performance of the laptop itself? What is the model of the laptop? Just to make sure, please try to install the Intel® PDT version 4.1.0.32: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool Regards, Alberto R. Hi, sorry about that, I'm in the middle of a move. The laptop is an Asus ROG G751JM. I am having lower framerate than usual but I believe that it's just an older model and becoming obsolete.

GLyma, Thank you for letting us know that information. Yes, as yo mentioned, it seems to be that the problem is related to an older model and becoming obsolete. In this case, as an option, we can try a BIOS update to the latest version 206 from 2014/11/05: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/G751JM/G751JMAS206.zip?_ga=2.61454958.339367193.1551202714-421469363.1533573391 If the problem persists, then we suggest to get in contact with ASUS directly so they can provide further suggestions for this matter: https://www.asus.com/support/ Regards, Alberto R.
