Intel® Core™ i7-6700K one core is on average 20k higher than the others

Hello everbody,

im currently using the following system:

  • i7-6700k + Corsaire H100i water cooling with 2 fans
  • Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
  • 16gb HyperX Fury DDR4-2666mhz
  • MSI GTX 970
  • 600W be Qu!et PSU
  • Windows 10 pro

I have reassembled the PC and the following problem:

One of the CPU cores is on average 20k higher than the others. Sometimes I can even see in the temperature software that the temperature of this core suddenly jumps to 70° or higher and back again.

During the Intel test software run the other three cores run at 55-60° only the one goes above 80°. According to the test result, everything seems to be fine.

I guess it is a measurement error, is there any way to fix it?

I have checked the cooler and the thermal paste.

I have already updated the BIOS.

I am happy about ideas
