Hello,
I previously ran a Windows Update which provided an update for "Intel - Extension - 3.1.0.7611", and could not find any information regarding this update either through DuckDuckGo or StartPage. I would image it has something to do with the fact that my new Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 runs an Intel 13th generation core processor with Intel graphics. I have the question below.
What is the "Intel - Extension - 3.1.0.7611" update purpose?
Thanks!
GoldWing

Hello @GoldWing
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
We understand your concern about the Windows Update.
Please keep in mind that Intel provides generic drivers to the computer manufacturers (OEMs). After that, they include customized features and solutions to platform-specific needs. Have you contacted Microsoft or Dell in this case?
If you are experiencing an issue, we will require a report. Please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows, in order to have more information about your system. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.
Best regards,
Jose B.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen 10 and believe the latest Intel update broke my built-in camera. See ticket - https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X1-Carbon-Gen-10-Camera-not-working/m-p/5262040?page=3#6219660
