Hi I have just replaced an i3 530 with an i7 880 on a gigabyte GA-H55-UD3H Motherboard I have tested the motherboard Memory new processor all test ok have stress the system and power supply no Failures.When the system boots the the powerlight flashes until the system boots into the Windows program. I replaced the new processor with the old i3 and the powerlight does not flash Iam a loss to pinpoint the problem.Any sugestion would be helpful.

Socket compatibility is not enough. Does the gigabyte bios support the i7-880? Have you updated the bios?
That is about as much help as you can get here, as the processor is long discontinued.
Contact gigabyte for further support.
