Intel(R) Host Bridge/DRAM Registers - 9B44 - Driver date 18.07.1968 - Update not possible

I want to update the driver for Intel(R) Host Bridge/DRAM Registers.

The driver date is 18.07.1968 (?).

Everytime I want to update the driver my PC crashes and I see the Blue Screen of Death.

How can I fix this?

The driver version is 10.1.30.3

It's a Gigabyte AERO 17 HDR KB Laptop

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10875H CPU @ 2.30GHz

Intel doesn't use date field for publication date. In this case, that's the date Intel was incorporated.
You don't usually need to update this driver. What is your reason for attempting to do so? If it is simply because of the date field, well, you don't need to.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I run CCleaner Pro and it told me that I have to update the driver.
There seems to be an updated version of the driver with the no. 25.20.100.6617, which was released 10.03.2019.
Given that I have version 10.1.30.3, I would like to update the driver, if possible.

For what it is worth,  I have the same issue - tried 3 times and the same result ... BSOD, however, I used IObit's app, Driver Booster.

I am going to ignore this update then, but really, what happened to the testing??

"I run CCleaner Pro and it told me that I have to update the driver."

Please do not believe anything like that.

I wouldn't trust CCleaner as far as I could throw it. Junk software AFAIAC.
