Intel XTU wont start because drivers are not running

Hello there,

I have a problem with installing Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

I installed Intel XTU and restarted my PC afterwards.

Next, when I tried to start XTU, the following error message showed up:

Unable to start Intel Extreme Tuning Utility because the driver are not running. A reboot may be necessary if Intel Extreme Tuning Utility was just installed, otherwise download and install the latest version of Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

I did uninstall and install XTU a few times but to no avail.

I followed the uninstall instructions from the intel support page also with no success as no processes or files related to XTU remain on my PC after uninstalling.

I also tried to contact the support with Intel System Support Utility but the webpage gives me a connection error everytime I try to submit  the report via SSU.
