Intel control graphics doesn't have screen recording anymore

Hello, 

I have a laptop HP 15-dw3047nr, i7-1165G7 , and in recent intel graphics (IRISx) software update, the screen recording option vanished ! I searched on the internet and found this article:

It states that : "If you use an integrated GPU included with the Intel® Core™ 11th generation or newer processors or Intel® Arc™ discrete GPU, you can use Intel® Arc™ Control to record your screen"


I have 11th generation cpu, yet , no option is available. 

Does anyone else have the same problem?  Do you have any suggestions ?

To better assist you and determine the most appropriate resolution, could you please provide the needed details listed below:


  • May I know if you were able to use the screen recording before in Intel Arc Control?
  • What are the troubleshooting steps you have taken to try and resolve the issue?
  • Have you already tried performing DDU to then try to install the latest graphics driver?

Dear Earl E.,

I received a response from Gautam K. from the customer support team. He mentioned, "Intel has made the tough decision to retire the Studio page and its feature for now in our graphics software. The reason behind this decision is that the features within the Studio page had very low user usage, and many features within the Studio page are supported by great third-party software today like OBS, Steam, Windows Game Bar, etc."

So, there is no screen recording option in the newer versions of Intel Arc Control anymore. I hope you reconsider and embed this option in future updates, because not all of us use gaming apps for screen recording.

Thank you for your response.


We deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you, but your correct, Intel has decided to discontinue the Studio page and its associated features in our graphics software for the time being, due to lack of user usage.


Rest assured that we may consider bringing back these features in the future if demand is high.
