Hello Intel Support Team,
I am considering using a stationary workstation from Lenovo which has the Intel Core i5-13400T with Intel UHD Graphics 730 for an operator room setup. My plan is to connect 3 monitors (each at 2560x1440 resolution @ 60Hz) using DisplayPort daisy chaining with MST (Multi-Stream Transport).
My questions are:
- Does the Intel UHD Graphics 730 integrated into the i5-13400T support DisplayPort MST for daisy chaining multiple monitors?
- Will the UHD Graphics 730 be able to drive 3 monitors at 1440p @ 60Hz simultaneously over a single DisplayPort output?
- Are there any limitations I should be aware of, such as total bandwidth, refresh rate, or driver support?
The monitors I plan to use have DisplayPort 1.4 MST support.
Here is a drawing showing my intended setup
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards,
Nordqvist

Answers:
1. Yes.
2. Maybe. 1440p@60Hz requires data rate of 5.63 Gb/s. Three monitors means a data rate of 16.89 Gb/s. The available data rate for DP1.4a is 17.28 Gb/s. These numbers are awfully close. Any data rate loss due to MST Hubs, cables, etc. will make it impossible to connect all three at 1440p@60Hz. If you want to try, I suggest that you use high-quality DP 2.x cables.
3. Covered above.
Hope this helps,
