Hello, I have a laptop Acer Aspire 5 (A515-51G) with a processor Intel Core i5-7200U. I have 4 GB of RAM that is soldered to the motherboard, as well as one free slot for installing another memory module in which I want to install an 8GB RAM module. The processor specification says that it supports `Flex Memory Access`, so I suppose that the 4GB of soldered memory + 4GB installed by me will additionally work in dual-channel mode, and the remaining 4GB in single-channel mode. In this case, can the `Flex Memory Access` mode interfere with anything? Whether any limitations of the motherboard are possible, or control of the operating modes of the RAM in this case is solely the prerogative of the processor. Thank you very much.

That is probably a question best answered by Acer support, since it is their motherboard design.
I would contact Acer.
