I´m trying to put together a low cost workstation, but I don´t know what CPU to choose.
I would use it to work with 3d modeling. BIM software such as Rhinoceros, Grasshopper and Revit, and occasionally, for rendering with Vray for Rhino or Sketchup.
I would match it with a Nvidia Quadro P2000, and 32 to 64 Gb Ram.
I understand that both have the same number of cores and threads, as well as cache memory.
The differences I notice is that the i7 works at a higher frequency (4.2/4.5) compaired to the Xeon (3.8/4.2) and that the Xeon has a P630 GPU which I understand is helpful when working in CAD software.
In your opinion, which would be more convenient for a workstation i7 or E3?
Thank you!!!
