Im developing a intel-based board, but i have a doubt. I've got to pay more for using the thunderbolt? like royalties or something?

Hello JoaoBarbosa,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
Before we proceed, let me clarify. Are you building or designing a motherboard on you own with embedded controllers like Thunderbolt? Can you also tell us more why are you asking for this information?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply.
I work in a enterprise that wants to develop a board with two USB-C connectors and a Alder Lake mobile processor. But are the costs that are added only on account of the additional ICs or should extra payments be made?

Hello JoaoBarbosa,
Thank you for patiently waiting for our update.
Upon checking, the support for Thunderbolt has been transitioned Thunderbolt™ Developer Portal | Thunderbolt Technology Community.
You can find a short FAQ here: Thunderbolt™ Developer Portal | Thunderbolt Technology Community
And after registering here (Thunderbolt™ Developer Portal | Thunderbolt Technology Community) you will be able to see the entire flow of the integration process.
So for further assistance, please contact them. Thank you and have a great day.
Best regards,
Michael L.
