Acer said another processor in different computer was too old for Windows 10. Wondered if the same applied to this processor.

Your processor is not supported on Windows 10, but that does not mean Windows 10 will not run.

The biggest problem is the graphics. The only driver is the Microsoft generic driver, which lacks in features and performance.

Technically, Windows 10 is not supported on this processor. In reality, it will install, most of the necessary drivers are built into Windows 10 and it runs just fine. But (there's always a 'but'), there are no drivers to support the Intel HD Graphics solution built into this processor. Microsoft provides a compatibility driver to handle this issue, but this compatibility driver offers only basic support and no bells and whistles. Gaming is abysmal or impossible, mostly due to down-rev OpenGL and ActiveX support. Your best bet is to use an add-in NVIDIA or AMD video card instead.

Hope this helps,
