Hi,
I would like to know if the Intel Xeon E5 2643 V4 is multi or single chip processor?
Also would like to ask if Xeon E5640 and Xeon X5450 are multi or single chip processor?
This is for Oracle Licensing.
Thanks.

Hi kahoau3822.
To answer to your question you can go to the following link:
https://ark.intel.com/products/92989/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2643-v4-20M-Cache-3_40-GHz
There you will see that under the performance tab you will see the following:
- 6 cores
- 12 threads
https://ark.intel.com/products/34446/Intel-Xeon-Processor-X5450-12M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB
and you will see the same information.
Please let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Eduardo_B,
How are the number of cores and threads related to this question?
Taking Xeon(R) E5-2697 v2 as an example (I am just randomly picking some cpu which has more core and threads here):
It mentions that Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-2697 v2 is a single chip module (not MCM)
E5-2697 v2 has 12 cores and 24 threads as mentioned in the link below:
https://ark.intel.com/products/75283/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2697-v2-30M-Cache-2_70-GHz https://ark.intel.com/products/75283/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2697-v2-30M-Cache-2_70-GHz
So per your analogy,
Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2643-v4-20M-Cache-3_40-GHz has less cores and less threads so it is also a single chip module?
I don't get it, please advise and thanks.

Hi kahoau3822,
This was not the information related to your question, I am sorry for the misunderstanding. The details that you are looking for those 3 processors will be requested and shared with you as soon as it becomes visible.

Hi kahoau3822,
Xeon E5-2643V4 is a Broadwell EP based processor. This family is not a multi chip one, it is a single processor with up to 6 cores and 12 multithreads.
As far as Xeon E5640 and X5450, we wouldn't know that information as they are both EOIS by now, due to its age we no longer give support to it. For additional support with these products you can create a new thread over here:
