Could I upgrade the cpu at all on my laptop? Is it possible?

You must contact HP and ask them what processors are compatible with their BIOS. Then, you can select from those processors.
And, that is only possible if the current processor is not soldered to the motherboard.
For processor upgrades, the new processor MUST be socket and BIOS compatible.
