KMats20, The real specification of the Intel® Pentium® Silver J5005 is that it supports 8GB of RAM, as you can confirm in the link provided previously. The reason why it does not support a higher amount of RAM is because a design/market decision, most of the times you will find these type of processors in mobile devices like laptops or notebooks that were manufactured to work with regular applications on a daily basis, like for example in schools. I checked both the intel and asrock website , I found in the both pages, maximum memory capacity is 8GB only

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/J5005-ITX/index.asp#Memory

I have not got the information I wanted yet. So I need further assistance with this matter.

I need real specification of J5005. It is obvious that the J5005 recognize over 8GB memory.

And It seems strange that the maximum memory of the recently created CPU is 8 GB.

Does Intel intentionally set the maximum memory to 8 GB? What is the reason?
