Hi, I am new to high performance computing on Intel Xeon and Core platform. I have a performance issue which I suppose has something to do with L3 cache. I have tried to search for Intel Processor L3 cache.I skimmed Intel optimizing manual and find Skylake have a 2.5MB per core limit whereas Haswell not. I am using Coffee Lake now but I didn't find any article about Coffee Lake's L3. Could you please provide me some specs about them?I am also curious about the motivation of regulating the L3 usage of single core.

Hello hilaolu,
Thank you for joining the community
The available public documentation is found here: Coffee Lake H: Documents and Datasheets (intel.com)
The L3 cache information that you are looking for might require a Corporate Non-Disclosure Agreement just for you to consider.

Hello hilaolu,
We want to provided the following update: there is no L3 cache size limit per single core with the Intel Xeon E-2100 processors. Each core can access the entire L3 cache.
The total L3 cache is 8MB for 4 core processors, 12MB for 6 core processors, and 16MB for 8 core processors.
Hope this helps
