Hi all,

installing virtual box it prompt for a vt-X error when starting a vm. I checked in the bios and the virtualization is enabled.

there are no refears to vt-X enablement anywhere. i run the identification utility and it says that the virtualization is not enable(it is in the bios) and it's not supported but in the processor page it says it is: https://ark.intel.com/products/76616/Intel-Core-i7-4600U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-4600U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz) Product Specifications

can you please tell me how to enable the vt-X?

thank you

SGResu: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Processors communities.

In regard to your inquiry, I will do further research in order to confirm if the processor does support virtualization. As you mentioned, normally the way to enable that feature is through the BIOS menu.

As soon as I get any updates, I will post all the details on this thread.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Any questions, please let me know.
