After rebooting the os, the PCIe cards are not listed.
But if we upgrade the RPM (microcode_ctl-20220207-1.20220510.1.el9_0.noarch), the issue won't happen again.
We would like to know what the intel does inside this version of the RPM.
<Description>
After the reboot command, the PCI network card (Intel 10G NIC) is not listed by the command (lspci -t -vv)
The following are the steps
- Install the OS-AlmaLinux9
- Insert the PCI network Card (E810-XXV: Intel 10GbE NIC card)
- Boot up the machine
- Run the command “lspci -t -vv” → without any issue. It shows the PCI network card normally
- Run the command “reboot”
- Run the command “lspci -t -vv” → PCI network card is not listed.
- Shut down the device.
- Boot up again by pressing the power button
- Run the command “lspci -t -vv” → without any issue. It shows the PCI network card normally
<Root cause>

Hello JayFang,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
For us to further check the issue, please provide the following details.
- What is the complete model of your Intel Ethernet controller?
- Are you using a 3rd party PCIe card or did you design your own PCIe Ethernet controller?
- Can you provide the link of the microcode that you are using?
- Can you provide photos of your PCIe network card focusing on the markings for us to validate the units?
If you have questions, please let us know. In case we do not hear from you, we will make a follow up after 3 workings days. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.
