Hello
I understood that Intel had made progress with the update of the microcodes, but it is actually the reverse
The 05000029 microcode (2019-06-14) is much more efficient (~ +10%) than the last available microcodes (0500012C, 05002F00 and 05002F01)
Does Intel plan to improve performance with future microcode ?
Thanks

Hello tistou
Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.
I would like to confirm Intel® processor do you currently have?
Can you provide me with the motherboard brand and model?
What is the current BIOS on the system?
What is the Operating System installed?
How are you measuring the efficiency of the microcode?
Regards,
Leonardo C.

Hello
I have an 10980XE with Asus Rampage VI Extreme (bios 3006) and tested on Rampage VI Extreme Encore too (bios 0603)
Windows 10 Pro X64 (2004)
I tested microcode 05000029 and 05002F01 on each motherboard, and with Cinebench and some programs for example, microcode 29 is more efficient
Some examples (under the same conditions) :
Microcode 29:
Cinebench = 4639
NTLite executed in 8mn 21sec
Microcode F01:
Cinebench = 4347
NTlite executed in 8mn 58sec
Thanks

Thanks, waiting for your news
The problem is only related to the microcode, I have the same loss of performance with an Asus Rampage VI Extrene Encore (bios 0603)

Hello Leonardo C,
Yes, I have the latest bios available, but with older microcode, so as not to lose performance
Haven't had any information about a possible microcode update with improved performance ?
Thanks

Hello Leonardo C
Thanks for your reply
Hoping that Intel will take action on these performance losses (if they are well informed about this problem too)
