Missing Intel RMA CPU – Package Tampered and Replaced

On March 21, 2025, I called Intel to request an RMA for my Core i9-14900K. On March 22, I shipped my CPU to Malaysia via FedEx. However, when I checked the repair status on March 25, I was informed that my CPU was missing. The entire package, including its contents, had been replaced. Instead of my CPU, the package now contained a Meta Quest 3 VR headset. Additionally, the shipping label had been affixed to a completely different box that did not match mine and was not something I had sent.

Hi Minpotter,

I understand how important your Core i9-14900K is, and this unexpected issue is certainly not what you anticipated.

Please know that we're here to support you through this process. I recommend reaching out FedEx as soon as possible to report the issue and initiate an investigation. They should be able to help track the package and determine what happened during transit.

Upon checking internally, I can confirm that your case is currently under investigation by our team. We are committed to thoroughly examining the situation to understand what occurred and to find a resolution as swiftly as possible.

If there's anything else I can do to assist you or if you need further guidance, please don't hesitate to let me know

Thank you for your follow-up. I would like to bring to your attention that my CPU was under warranty and shipped from Taiwan to Malaysia via FedEx. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with the shipping labels, which caused the wrong package (Meta Q3 128GB VR, intended for another shipment) to be sent to Intel Malaysia’s service center.

FedEx confirmed that the package was switched at the Taiwan airport, and after inquiring with the Hong Kong transit center, no further information has been found regarding the whereabouts of my original package. On March 28, 2025, Intel customer support informed me that a replacement product would be sent to avoid further delays. However, as of April 1, I have not received any updates regarding my CPU, nor have I received the replacement product.

Could you kindly check the previous correspondence for further details and advise on the next steps? I look forward to your response.
