My i9-14900KS overheating all of a sudden

Hi, so I built this PC October 16th, it's my first ever build and it's been running perfectly, until 2 days ago where I got a red CPU light on the motherboard and the temperature spiked whilst playing a game like usual, I use a Corsair AIO so the LCD shows the Liquid temp, which went from 47C to 65C in a minute. Then the light went away but it remained fairly hot ever since. Before that it had never gone above 50C (Liquid temp) And yesterday my PC overheated and shut down and started flashing red, the last thing I saw on the LCD was the liquid temp jumping from 52C to an instant 72C before shutting down, I felt the top of the case and it was almost untouchable. I've tried looking stuff up but I haven't really been successful as I'm not a big PC guy as this is my first build and I just wanted a proper rig. Currently I haven't done anything except run the Intel Processor Diagnostics Tool which everything was fine in. I'll list the specs below.

And another bit of information, idle CPU temps is now about 65-75C and room temp is 22-25C depending on how much load the pc is on

CPU: Intel i9-14900KS
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z790 PLUS WIFI
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 Ram (2x32GB) 6000MHz CL40
SSD 1: Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink NVMe M.2 SSD
SSD 2: Samsung 990 PRO NVME M.2 SSD
