Need for speed 2015 intel driver error

I bought the game about 6 months ago. And I haven't been able to play it even once. When I click on the game on Steam, I get the same error. (I will share photos and DxDiag below). When I enter the game, my keyboard doesn't work on the opening screen. EA Support Team hasn't helped and I can't return the game.

You don't say what your device is but the information provided indicates that it is made by HUAWEI and is probably one of its MateBook D15 laptops. This runs Windows and has a  Intel Core i5-1155G7 CPU that features Iris Xe Graphics. The error message is asking you to update the Intel graphics driver.

HUAWEI recommends its users to update drivers by using PC Manager which can be downloaded from here. Its advice is to open PC Manager and click Drivers to update the official drivers. Hopefully there is a later driver than can be installed by this method that will clear the issue.

Intel graphics drivers from manufacturers may be the standard drivers with specific customisations. If the PC Manager driver update route does not work the alternative is to install the latest driver from Intel for your CPU that can be accessed here .

All my drivers are up to date but this doesn't work. I think the problem is that the error screen appears. If the error screen doesn't appear, that's fine. I'd appreciate any help

Having checked further what the error message really means is that you cannot play this game with Intel integrated graphics such as the Iris Xe graphics of your Core i5-1155G7 CPU.

Source for this information is EA the makers of Need for Speed 2015 who state under System Requirements that the the minimum requirements for the game are "...Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB, or equivalent DX11 compatible GPU with 2GB of memory".

EA should change the wording of its error message which is misleading. So sorry you cannot play this game on your laptop but at least you know the reason for it.

I would add that based on this you clearly have a case for a refund from EA. And if EA will not refund you then take it up with Steam.

Thank you for your information. They said they can't refund me before, but I will try to get a refund again. And finally, if the error is fixed (by EA), can I play the game? I think my system requirements are enough for that. Or will I not be able to play this game for the rest of my life?

This is a 10 year old game and I guess that EA decided back then that it would include code in the game itself to check on what video capabilities a system had. And also that if Intel iGPU graphics were detected that an error message would be generated. If EA are unwilling or unable to modify the program code for the game then the situation remains unchanged.

Apart from laptops that have only the iGPU graphics such as your particular model there are Intel CPU based laptops that include an NVIDIA gaming chipset such as the RTX 3050, RTX 4050 and RTX 4060. Any of these would be capable of playing the game, so maybe you could consider replacing your existing machine with one of these at some point in the future.
