I've bought an I5 12600K CPU in the tray, and I see these numbers on it, but I would like to know what they mean:
Core I5 12600k
SRL4T
X213N018
On most CPU images of the same processors, I see
V1343040
Can anybody explain why I don't trust buying OEM or in-tray processors too much?
Thanks a lot

This page provides information regarding the various fields: Partial Serial Number for Intel Desktop Boxed Processors.
Trust? Hhmmm... Considering that tray processors are intended for OEMs to use in their own system-level products. While it isn't supposed to be happening, some OEMs will sell their unused tray processors on the gray market. Of course, these could be used processors as well. Trust? Not me.
