I just got a new Skylake 6700K, it works great but something is wrong with the temperature readings. I've been using HWMonitor, CPUz, CoreTemp, Afterburner and they all report the same 10-12c temps across all 4 cores. Problem is, that is impossible since my ambient is around 20c. Is there some kind of bug in Skylake that is causing the sensors to misread, or did I just get a bad CPU? I;m still in the 30-day return window if I have to send it back and try a different CPU.
Any suggestion of what this might be?

Hi Shoegazer,
The Intel® Core™ i7-6700K has 4 Cores, Core 1 works faster always than the rest and the temperature is going to be higher too.
Cores speed is dynamic and they usually run at different speed. I suggest to verify processor speed and memory speed in the BIOS of the motherboard.
The Processor Base Frequency is 4.0GHz and
Memories should be: DDR4-1866/2133 at 1.25v
or: DDR3L-1333/1600 at 1.35V
Then, I suggest you to run Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool and review the results.
