I am trying to run the pcie lane margining tool for Gen4 and as per the user guide it states that :
It will scan all the PCIe devices on the system and will report all PCIe 4.0 links(for the scanning method from pci_scan)
Does this mean it will only report devices that are actually brought up in Gen4 only or all devices that are Gen4 capable (or higher) but the negotiated speed is Gen3 or below?

Hello saisha
Many thanks for your patience.
Any query related to any tool and/or the PCIe function on your system, needs to be answered by the OEM.
If you are asking for processor capabilities with the PCIe, I recommend you checking the following datasheet: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/core/core-technical-resources.html
Let me know if further assistance is needed.
Best regards,
Steven G.
