Pentium N5000 vs i3-6006u

Hello, I am a bit confused while choosing a processor from the above two.

Here I can see that the Pentium processor, even though have a lower base frequency, can burst upto 2.70GHz. The i3 processor on the other hand runs at 2 GHz only. Moreover the Pentium processor has more cores and cache memory than the i3-6006u. Additionally Pentium N5000 has 6W TDP compared to 15W of i3-6006u. Which processor is supposed to perform better in day-to-day life?

I use my laptop mainly for typing, internet surfing and video watching, and occasional GIMP photo editing. I do open a lot of tabs while browsing. Which processor is supposed to be better fit my expectations. Thanks in advance.:)

Hello bishalb1,

I understand that you are comparing two processors and selecting which is the best for you.

Regarding this, I would like to begin by saying that the base frequency of the core processor is faster than the pentium. It supports more GB of RAM and also the processor's graphics frequency is faster than the pentium.

Both of them should suit your purpose; however, the core processor is slightly faster and more video memory than the pentium, also, please refer to the link below for a more detailed comparison of both:

I hope this helps.
