Performance Concerns in Counter-Strike 2 on Intel Core i5-13400F

I’ve been a loyal Intel user for years, and my current setup with an Intel Core i5-13400F has been great—until I started playing Counter-Strike 2. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to hit 250 FPS in the game, which is frustrating, especially since competitive play demands high performance.

Here’s My Setup:
CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 TI
RAM: Corsair LPX 32GB (2x16)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B760 DS3H DDR4

What’s Going On:
I’ve tweaked all the settings I can think of, but the FPS just won’t budge. To see if it was just me, I compared my build with a friend’s PC that has an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU. Surprisingly, their system runs CS2 much smoother, with higher FPS, even though our setups are pretty similar.

Then, I tested my PC with Valorant, and boom—over 100 FPS more than in CS2! This makes me think that maybe CS2 isn’t as optimized for Intel CPUs as it could be.

Why I’m Sharing This:
I’ve already reached out to the Counter-Strike team, but I wanted to share my experience here too. If anyone else with an Intel CPU is having similar issues, or if someone from Intel has some advice, I’d love to hear it.

Are there any tips, updates, or settings that might help boost performance in CS2? I’m hoping we can figure this out together, so we can all enjoy smoother gameplay.

Thanks for reading, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Completely agree and I have a 4070 super and I cant get above 300fps mainly 200-250, playing on 1280x960. Albiet playing on 2k res I get like 150-200fps but its still not as good as my friends who have almost double my fps.
