Frank3096: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Processors communities. We will be more than glad to assist you in order to try to fix this problem.

The fact that the processor passed the Intel® processor diagnostic tool, indicates that it should be working fine and there are no overheating on the system.

Still the problem could be related to many different factors, could be the video cable, could be the board, could be the monitor itself or even the graphics driver. So, in order to better assist you we just need to gather a few details:

Did it work fine before?

What is the model of the motherboard?

Which type of memory RAM are you using? If it is possible, please provide the model of it, the size and the quantity of sticks you are using.

Which video port are you using?

Are you using adapters or converters?

Do you have the option to test the PC with a different monitor/TV?

Do you have the option to use a different video cable?

Which Windows version are you using?

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Sorry for delay in responding.

These are the specifications of my PC:

Processor: Intel I7 7700K

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z270X-Ultra Gaming

Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2400 16 GB DDR4 (1)

Power supply: Corsair CX 650 80 Plus Bronze

Operating system: Windows 10 64 bits

The video port is hdmi, but I'm using a DVI converter because the HDMI input of motherboard does not give image. I had the possibility to use another monitor but it does not support the HDMI format

Frank3096: No problem at all. Thank you very much for providing that information.

In order to try to fix this problem we can try to re-install first the chipset driver, then the management engine and after that graphics driver that are provided by Gigabyte, look for chipset and VGA:

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270X-Ultra-Gaming-rev-10# support-dl https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270X-Ultra-Gaming-rev-10# support-dl

If the problem persists after that, since the processor works with Intel® HD Graphics 630, we can try the following driver, version 4729:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26941/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=98909 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26941/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=98909

By any chance do you see a model or a part number on the DVI converter so we can check the specifications of it?

Did it work fine before?

The fact that the HDMI port is not working could indicate a problem with the board itself. Do you have the option to test your processor on a different board or test your board with a different processor?

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto R

Frank3096: Thank you very much for letting us know those details. If you do not have the option to swap parts, in that case maybe there is a PC repair store close to you where they can do that for you. The other option will be to get in contact either with the place of purchase to check their warranty policy and verify if they can replace it or to contact Intel directly through our chat or phone support:
