Pehaps someone cad advise.
My laptop computer has a Intel Core 2 Duo TC5800 (2GHz).
I was about to purchase a HD Camcorder however the recommended processor speed is 2.66GHz.
Given the processor I have I am unsure whether I just have 2GHz or as a duo 2 times 2 GHz giving a total of 4Ghz.
Will someone be able to clarify the processor speep I have?
Thank you.

Your CPU Speed is 2Ghz, you can't really add the speed of the 2 together to get 4Ghz.
While the recommended speed is 2.66Ghz, it will run with 2Ghz.
If you find the performance unacceptable, then you could consider purchasing a newer PC.
