Processor upgrade

I currently am using an HP desktop that has 'Intel Core i7-3820 (Sandybridge E) (130W) 3.6 GHz which is 3rd gen. I need to upgrade to a minimum 8th gen processor in order to be compatible for Win 11.

Can anybody suggest a moderately priced Intell processor for that as I'm on a limited budget.

I'm trying to eliminate the need to purchase a new computer.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Sorry, but you are looking at a costly upgrade. You cannot upgrade just this processor. You will need to upgrade your motherboard and RAM (DDR3 to DDR4) as well.

Thank you for your response.

Well, guess I'd better start looking @ what's available.  Won't be cheap either as I want to keep specs pretty close to what I've already got.

Appreciate your help.
