The store I purchased a Q6700 OEM told me that it is a Go stepping version. How how can I confirm this? Is there a way to defintely find out which version it is?

Hi there,
So far there is only one version of this Q6700 processor. It comes only in the G0 stepping.
Link: http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=0&SearchKey=q6700
If you go to this link you can enter any model of Intel processors and you will see all the steppings that are available for that specific cpu: http://processorfinder.intel.com/Default.aspx
Hope this answers your question.
Cheers
