Question about converting movies and Intel Quick Sync

I am going to buy an 11th generation Intel i5 processor for processing 4k and 1080p movies (10-bit HEVC etc.). Will there be a big difference in this matter between the Intel i5 11400 and the Intel i5 11500? The first has the HD 730 graphics and the second HD 750 and I wonder what is decisive when converting movies.

Thank you for answers

Hello marek15snk,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I would like to let you know that even though the Intel® UHD Graphics 730 and Intel® UHD Graphics 750 is compatible with High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) technology, its performance and efficiency may be affected by the following variables:

1. Laptops may present some limitations or restrictions that can affect any technology that the CPU may support.

2. It is advisable to use a dedicated video card (Nvidia/Radeon) if you are using a desktop computer to improve the performance of the whole computer.

3. If using an external monitor, this may need to be capable to support the technology to be able to have the full performance.

I recommend you to check with the vendor or laptop/motherboard manufacturer in order to check compatibility and support.

It's just about rencode / encode in DvdFab and I'm forced to get by without a graphics card. The question is whether using Intel Quick Sync will make a significant difference between the 730 and the 750.

Hello marek15snk,

I would like to let you know that the main difference between these 2 graphics is the amount of "Execution Units", the Intel® UHD Graphics 730 has 24 and the Intel® UHD Graphics 750 has 32.

However, when it comes to using the Intel Quick Sync you may not notice much difference and the same comes to decoding/encoding. You can see the comparison in the following link:

If you are planning to use a specific tool/app/program to decode/encode, I recommend you to check with the program developer for further information.
