Question related to CPU and processors....?

Hello. I'm making a computer (with the help of a technician).

I have to buy the components...

I have a question:

What's the difference between CPU and processor?

Are they the same?

On the intel page, I see the processor list and I guess both are the same.

I would really appreciate your information!

A rose by any other name...

Yes, CPU and Processor, in this context, are the same.

If you are having difficulty with the terminology and technology at this point, you have a lot more research to do before you purchase anything. And, with the pre-configured systems available today, there is not much need to build your own PC, unless for the experience.

A good place to start is here: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/how-to-build-a-pc,5867.html
