I asked this questions on IPS#00810245, but they did not answer, instead suggesting that I ask it here.
My question is:
Why "-march=nehalem -mtune=generic" GCC options is used on Yocto BSP Alder Lake-P MR3 ?
Isn't "-march=alderlake -mtune=alderlake" more suitable?
Please tell me the reason they are still using the option for old architecture.
Isn't performance improved by specifying "-march=alderlake -mtune=alderlake"?
Yocto BSP Alder Lake-P MR3
GCC 11.2
Thanks in advance.
