Hello,

I can't find it anywhere RST driver for Atom Z8350.

Windows Setup does not see any disk (eMMC). I've already tried everything, but one thing is for sure - I need a RST driver for the Z8350.

I couldn't find it on Intel's site, and of course the latest one doesn't work.

Can someone help please?

thanks

Are you planning to use RAID or (heaven forbid) Optane? If not, then no, you do not need Intel RST. Intel RST doesn't provide any kind of support for eMMCs. All of the drivers that you need for accessing HDDs, SSDs, SSHDs and even eMMCs are built into Windows 10 and Windows 11.

If you cannot see your eMMC from within the Windows installer, then there is likely an issue in your BIOS. Can you see information about the eMMC from within BIOS Setup?

Do you have UEFI enabled?

The device is: Z83S mini PC Stick.

There was Windows 10, then installed Lubuntu. After Lubuntu has formatted the disk, Windows instalation doesn't see any disk at all, not even the Windows To Go USB.

I want to install Windows back, but it doesn't work because the installation doesn't see any disk. The only option in the installation is "Load driver" - but none are found.

The BIOS is very simple, the drive is only visible there as "Lubuntu".

That this is a known issue is described here.

The discussion of RST in that conversation is related to not seeing a SSD; this has nothing to do with your issue with eMMC. As for the suggestions related to the eMMC included, this has nothing to do with Intel; Intel has nothing to do with the manufacture or use of an eMMC. As I said before, I believe that this is something in the BIOS.

My only suggestion is to boot from a Linux live flash disk and delete all partitions on the eMMC. If that doesn't work, you are going to have to contact the makers of this PC and seek their help.

Sorry,

If there was "something in the BIOS" then even Linux wouldn't be able to be installed. Linux sees the disk (and it is installed), Windows does not...

I am having similar issues trying to install Tiny11 on Linx 12x64. It keeps asking for media drivers but X5 atom does not need it. No setting in bios to change drive parameters. The tablet runs windows 10 but I did want to upgrade to windows 11.
