I am about to build a new machine. I want to use Intel Core i7 3820 (LGA2011) in Asus P9X79 DELUXE. The machine needs to have 64GB of RAM. I was about to buy 64GBs of 8x8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 but then I read this post: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Dominator-1600MHz-240-Pin-CMP32GX3M4X1600C10/product-reviews/B006E05YYC/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_three?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addThreeStar&showViewpoints=0 http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Dominator-1600MHz-240-Pin-CMP32GX3M4X1600C10/product-reviews/B006E05YYC/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_three?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addThreeStar&showViewpoints=0

Which basically states that this setup won't work because x79 chipset / LGA2011 is unstable with more than 4 DIMMs at 1600Mhz. Would you agree with that assessment? Should I go with 8x8GB 1333Mhz or 1600Mhz? Thanks.

This processor's memory controller specifically supports memory running at 1066/1333/1600MHz at 1.5V only. Specifications can be confirmed at the processor data sheets, page 11: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/3rd-gen-core-desktop-vol-1-datasheet.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/3rd-gen-core-desktop-vol-1-datasheet.html

If using not compatible memory an unstable environment would be expected, reason why this is not part of the 3 year limited warranty services as it only covers manufacturing defects.
