Generally if we disable certain cores of a cpu the power consumption doesn't change drastically. But in case with http://ark.intel.com/products/97934/Intel-Atom-Processor-C3708-16M-Cache-up-to-1_70-GHz and http://ark.intel.com/products/97930/Intel-Atom-Processor-C3508-8M-Cache-up-to-1_60-GHz what i see is that latter one consumes less power as it has low tds compared to the former one. How is that possible? What will be the power consumption under same load for both the cpus.
