Hi
As we are updating our design from an existing design please help me to find alternate processor for Intel Atom Processor E640T and Intel PCH EG20T, kindly suggest me a processor which contains all the interfaces that Intel Atom Processor E640T and Intel PCH EG20T contains.
Regards

Hello,
If you want to use a more powerful processor on an existing board, then you can use the E660T or E680T. But you should check if your BIOS supports the CPU ID if you use a different processor. You should also make sure that there is sufficient cooling, because for example the E680T processor has a heat dissipation of 25-30% more. This is something that can be more confidently improved.
But the PCH EG20T cannot be replaced, it was the only one in the Topcliff series for Atom E6XX processors.
Of course, if you are building a system from scratch, then in theory you can use any bridge with a PСI bus that connects to the processor. Also, replacing the bridge will require a complete or large change in BIOS, but it probably doesn't make sense.
