SA-00086 Update patch

We have Lenovo and HP workstations at our company that require the firmware update. Does anyone know if delaying the restart following the update causes any issues? We have around 2000 machines to update and would prefer to control the reboots separate from the patch installs. Basically I would like to comment out the line in the updater which triggers a restart and just let our machines reboot during our weekly forced reboots.

Thanks for any info!

Hello Dans6913,

Thank you for joining the Intel® Community.

In this case the right regarding your questions should be provided by Lenovo and HP, this since the firmware is provided by them so they will be the only one that can comment if delaying the restart can affect the processor the update. Try their community support for more information: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/English-Community/ct-p/Community-EN English Community - Lenovo Community and https://h30434.www3.hp.com/ Home - HP Support Forum.

Hope you can get more answers there.

Regards,

Amy C.
