Hi,
i've just started with replacing the BIOS with the (U)EFI on a motherboard with Intel-core i7 with Sandy bridge.
i have the following questions in mind:
- How to replace the extsting BIOS with the EFI?
- Is there any source code available for the (U)EFI BIOS? If available, were do i get it.
- Any stuff that gives the detailed idea of the EFI.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated. :-)
Thanks & Regards,
--Naveen

Keep in mind that the EFI is not a replacement of the motherboard BIOS, it is an interface between the motherboard BIOS and the option ROM of other devices.
This is mostly used on server motherboards, in the case of Intel desktop motherboards, only very few motherboards support it like some of the extreme motherboards.
Regarding third party motherboards with Intel chipsets, we are not familiar with them.
