I have a 6700k cpu clocked to 4.5 GHz. Fully water cooled. My mate tells me that the optimal temp should be about 50 dgrees C. He says that my temps are too low and it is not good for my cpu. When idle, the cpu temp sits at 21 degrees C. Under full load it gets to 72 degrees C. I always thought having it run cooler was good. Am I wrong in thinking this. Is my mate correct?
Thanks.

No, you are correct; the cooler the better. I have no idea how he could come up with an assertion like this.

Thanks for your reply. I thought I was right. But on the off chance I could had been wrong, I had to ask. Now the hard part part is to inform him he is mistaken.
Thanks.
